Please note that marriage is an official act that should be discussed only in the official language in the Czech Republic, then in Czech language. Foreign nationals who do not speaking and writing in Czech language, they have to provide an interpreter at their own expense.


INFORMATION ABOUT THE CLOSURE OF MARRIAGE IN LEDNICE IN 2011

Marriage is governed by the laws of the Czech Republic and is mainly regulated by Law No. 94/1963 Coll. of the family, as amended, and Act No. 301/2000 Coll. registries, name and surname and amending some related Acts, as amended (the Act on Registers).

CIVIL CEREMONIES
  
The wedding dates in 2011:

• First and third Saturday of every month for the month June and September all Saturdays
• exceptionally agreed deadlines - Friday, November 11, 2011
• ceremonies in the State Chateau, or in the park -  from April to October
• ceremonies in the ceremonial hall of the Municipal Office Building – year round
• ceremonies in the Border Chateau or in the Pond Chateau - by appointment
• ceremonies at another suitable location - by appointment
• Time range of ceremonies (a ceremony 30 minutes) - from 9.30 a.m. to 2.00 p.m.

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR THE YEAR 2011!
In 2011, still ongoing reconstruction of State Chateau Lednice, especially from the courtyard, where is the entrance to the ceremony room (the so-called Knight's Hall and Casino - wedding small room).
For this reason, expect serious problems with the organization of wedding ceremonies (networked platforms, impaired quality of access roads, noise etc.).
Therefore, we recommend a personal visit of the chateau and considered the situation to avoid any confusion and complaints.

The procedure for processing civil ceremony

The betrothed pair secure by phone, e-mail or personal visit date of marriage in Registry office - Municipal Office Lednice. Latest one month before agreed date of marriage the betrothed pair during a personal visit completes a questionnaire of wedding (eventually a written request for authorization of out of established wedding date or permit the ceremony to another convenient place) and shows the originals of all required documents. The betrothed pair is discussed all the details and particulars relating to the wedding ceremony. After marriage ceremony is by registry office issued the marriage certificate which newlyweds picked up personally or a marriage certificate is sent to the address of one of the newlyweds.
Marriage certificate serves as proof to employers for the payment of vacation.
Ensuring ceremony

Municipal Office Lednice along with the wedding ceremony provides music played on portable electronic keyboards and during the ceremony are recite two poems. The betrothed pair can also reserve live music or another option (always at betrothed pair expense). The ceremony can by without poems.
Preparation and decoration for wedding ceremonies “in another suitable place” ensured the betrothed pair themselves according to their wishes and requirements. The ceremony is necessary to prepare at least the table on which to sign the marriage certificate.
Municipal Office Lednice, registrar, does not automatically ensure the photographer and cameraman for various ceremonies (but spouses it can provide telephone contact details for photographers, who have experience with photography in the castle, etc.).


Documents required for submission to the Registry Office

The filled in and signed by both spouses' questionnaire to the marriage "shall:
Fiancé - citizen of the Republic:
• a valid ID card
• birth certificate
• Proof of citizenship of the CZE (can be replaced by the ID card)
• extract from the population for permanent residence (you can substitute the ID card)
• Extract from the register of civil status of the population (you can substitute the ID card)
• Case of the final divorce of the previous marriage (if divorced fiancé), or a final court decision on dissolution of registered partnerships
• death certificate of the deceased spouse / partner (if widowed fiancé)
• birth certificate, a common child (if the spouses have joint child)
• bride's birth certificate (if the child's father is unknown)


Fiancé - foreigner:
• Proof of identity - passport, residence permit for foreigners
• Birth certificate or equivalent proof of birth, from which it must be evident in the place and date of birth, full name and information about parents
• Proof of citizenship (passport can be proven)
• Proof of legal capacity to enter into marriage, which may not be the date of marriage older than 6 months (home country authorization, which their citizens can marry in the CZE if the home state shall not issue such a document confirming the foreigner in question)
• Certificate of civil status and residence, if issued by a foreign state
• Death certificate of the deceased spouse / partner (if widowed fiancé), this document is not necessary if this is mentioned in a document on the legal competence to enter into marriage
• Case of the final divorce decree (if divorced fiancé)
• A final court decision to cancel the partnership, or a deceased partner's death certificate (if the fiancé, who lived in a partnership)
• Confirmation of residency foreigners in the CZE (gives foreign police department; this document must not be older than 7 days to the date of marriage), this document does not foreigner-fiancé, who is a citizen of an EU Member State or a national of another Contracting state of the European Economic Area.

Documents issued by the authorities of foreign countries have much evidence of public documents in the Czech Republic if they are accompanied by the prescribed verifications and official translation into Czech language (§ 57 of the Act on registers).

It means: A foreign instrument verifies the higher authorities of the state and then is also verified by the Czech embassy in that particular country. Where documents issued by the embassy of a foreign state in the Czech Republic these documents shall be verified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Prague. In some states under an international convention to replace the legalization of documents verification clause the so-called "Apostille". This verification is necessary in cases where the document was issued in a State with which the CZE entered into an agreement on legal assistance in civil and family matters.

All submitted foreign documents must be not only to give appropriate verification (see above), but must also be translated into Czech language court interpreter who is appointed by decree of the court in accordance with Act No. 36/1967 Coll. on experts and interpreters. If documents are translated into Czech language abroad, you must provide documents verifying our representative office in the State in which the translation will be issued.
It is essential that the wedding ceremony attended court interpreter. Court of the spouses provides an interpreter at his own expense. Unless an interpreter appointed by the Minister of Justice or the chairman of the regional court interpreter must swear an oath to the registrar hand, and promise as a special legal regulation. Only if the alien fully proficient in the Czech written and spoken about this and take the person before the registrar a written declaration to the wedding ceremony may be interpreted.

The administration of a questionnaire on marriage, eventually other applications needn’t present of both persons, but the questionnaire and the request must be signed by both spouses and must be accompanied by originals of all documents required of both spouses.

Without the above documents, the marriage can not be allowed!

During the ceremony

The betrothed pair arrives at the selected location on the wedding day about 15 minutes before the agreed hour, present their identity documents and forward rings to registrar. Before the start of the ceremony are also verified and recorded indications into the document about witnesses who are required to submit valid identification document (identity card, passport). Witness may be only person over 18 years old with full legal capacity and witness may by also foreign national.

Program ceremony:

• Commissioning the betrothed and wedding guests into the ceremony room (or at a preferred location) with music (the most common variant - the bride enters the room as the last and accompanied his father through the wedding guests to the groom)
• Poem
• Coming registrar and mayor with accompanied by music
• Registrar present to the mayor names of the betrothed and witnesses
• Allocution mayor
• A formal exchange of wedding rings, the first married kiss, signing of the protocol of the marriage accompanied by music
• Poem
• Congratulation to the newlyweds from the mayor, registrar and other wedding guests (with music production)

After the ceremony, the newlyweds are transmitted modified identity cards with confirm of change in status and surname. The newlyweds can personally picked up at the agreed time the marriage certificate at the register office or it can be send to the noted address.
Newlyweds are required, in accordance with the provisions of § 14 paragraph 1 letter c) of Act No. 328/1999 Coll. on identity cards, as amended, apply for new identity cards, within 15 days after receiving the marriage certificate.

2nd Fiancé - a citizen CZE or foreigner - permanent residence in the CZE - outside the administrative district Lednice
• Ceremonial Hall in the building of Municipal Office - 1,000 CZK
• Facilities at the Chateau - 2,000 CZK
• Chateau Park, Border Chateau, the Pond Chateau - 3,000 CZK
• Any other suitable place - 3,000 CZK

3rd One of the fiancés - foreigner - no permanent residence in the CZE
• Ceremonial Hall in the building of Municipal Office - 3,000 CZK
• Facilities at the Chateau - 4,000 CZK
• Chateau Park, Border Chateau, the Pond Chateau - 5,000 CZK
• Any other suitable place - 5,000 CZK

4th Both bride and groom - foreigners - no permanent residence in the CZE
• Ceremonial Hall in the building of Municipal Office - 4,000 CZK
• Facilities at the Chateau - 5,000 CZK
• Chateau Park, Border Chateau, the Pond Chateau - 6,000 CZK
• Any other suitable place - 6,000 CZK

B / FEE AMOUNT - fee for a wedding ceremony out of fixed term

In addition to the administrative fee for out of fixed date according to the Law on Administrative Fees in the amount of CZK 1,000 Lednice The municipal council approved a supplement to the basic charges (point A /) of 5,000 CZK. The surcharge does not apply to fiancé - CZE citizens - with permanent residence in the area Lednice.

Fee and surcharge for the municipal authorities in accordance with section A / B and / is always payable in advance.
